Traveling to France-Paris, Part Un (1)

Travel has a funny way of changing us. 
Recently had the wonderful opportunity to travel to France.  First stop, Paris.  

Paris had never really been on my bucket list and after a few days in this marvelous city, I do not know why.  WOW.  

Of course, I was wanted to see the famous landmarks but that is not what will stay with me the longest.  A beautiful glimpse of the Louvre and then a walk to the Eiffel Tower were unforgettable experiences. 

As I was walking towards this HUGE structure, I was in awe.  I had a lump in my throat and was thinking "how did I get here?  This small-town Texas girl stood halfway around the world, soaking in a moment she never expected to have.   

I was overcome with gratitude.  It was beautiful.  It was surreal. This quiet moment caught me completely by surprise.  I know that not everyone will have an opportunity to stand where I stood and I didn't take a single second of it for granted. Those feelings stayed with me for the rest of my time in France.

Au revoir, Paris. Thank you for the memories, the wonder and the reminder that life can be more beautiful than the bucket list.
